VNA racking systems allow warehouse operators to increase storage capacity by shrinking the aisles between each row of racks. Because VNA systems can employ aisles as narrow as 5.5’, these systems are typically installed in conjunction with a guide-wire that is embedded into the concrete floor that serves to prevent human-steered machines from colliding with the racking. This wire provides tracking for wire- guided turret trucks or other wire-guided picking machines and ensures that these reach trucks travel only on a predefined path without reducing vehicle speed or efficiency.
The TSP Series VNA truck maximises cube utilisation throughout the warehouse. Exceptional travel speed, capacity and height combined with an industry-leading, heavy-duty mast deliver optimal performance and long-term reliability.
The TSP Series VNA truck features a stronger mast, higher reach, and narrow footprint; allowing you to make the most of your storage space.
With the TSP Series VNA truck, you can travel, lift and handle loads faster and run longer – for maximum throughput. Faster travel and quicker pivot and traverse speeds ensure efficiency in every cycle.
Depending on what you sell, narrow-aisle pallet racking or wide-aisle racking may be generally more appropriate. Our full range of bespoke racking options, however, means we are able to offer a totally flexible design without sacrificing cost-effectiveness.
HOW IT WORKS
In Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) Pallet Rack Systems, the space separating parallel rack units is greatly reduced, and pallets are placed and retrieved using a side loading fork truck aka. VNA Reach Truck. This minimizes the size of the aisles between rows of racks and can reduce the aisle space by around 40%. A super flat floor is required.
The racking system is designed around the operating tolerances of your chosen Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) handling equipment with aisles marginally wider than the load. While these trucks are often more expensive than standard forklifts, using narrow aisles can give you major savings on building costs by allowing you to store more with less space.
Pallets in very narrow aisle systems are 100% selective. With VNA racking, access to stock is uncompromised and the amount of product stored in the warehouse is maximized. It is an effective method of increasing pallet storage within a given area. Your storage capacity can be increased by an additional 40% over Selective Pallet Rack (SPR) by choosing VNA.
Not only does VNA racking increase pallet storage by leveraging vertical space, but it maintains the advantages of selective racking by ensuring 100% selectivity
